Executive Advisor: Amy Pursehouse

Amy Pursehouse is from Ariah Park, NSW and she currently works as a mixed animal veterinarian in West Wyalong. She first joined the ASC Next Generation Executive in 2010 as Secretary and became Vice President of the group in 2012. Amy has now been elected as the 2014 President. Amy was also selected as an RAS Rural Achiever state finalist in 2011 and has represented both the ASC and the ASC Next Generation at the Royal Agricultural Societies of the Commonwealth Conference.

Amy’s involvement in the show movement dates back to her showing of sheep and cattle. She competed over many years in junior judging where she was awarded state runner up in meat sheep junior judging. Amy has been actively involved in the group since becoming a member, in particular organising the Showall Rural Ball in Wagga Wagga for 3 years. Amy is very passionate about the country show movement, agriculture and in particular youth involvement. She believes by providing youth with networking opportunities the agricultural industry will blossom. She also feels as though country shows are one of the best ways to educate the general public about our progressive agricultural industries and a great way to bond our communities.
